PRETTY ON FLEEK      BORN AND RAISED IN MIAMI, TATIANA WAS ALWAYS SO FULL OF LIFE, AND WAS NEVER AFRAID TO SHOW IT. SINCE THE AGE OF THREE SHE COULD BE FOUND GIVING PERFORMANCES TO ANYONE OF HER FAMILY MEMBERS. SHE WAS BORN THIRD IN LINE IN HER FAMILY. A BROTHER AND SISTER COMING BEFORE HER. BEING THE BABY OF THE FAMILY MEANT SHE WAS SPOILED AND GIVEN ANYTHING SHE WANTED, BUT UNLIKE OTHER PEOPLE IN HER SHOES, SHE NEVER TOOK ADVANTAGE OF HER PARENTS IN THAT WAY. SHE WAS ALWAYS THE SWEET GIRL, WITH THE HEART OF GOLD. WHEN SHE WAS THIRTEEN, HER FATHER GOT A PROMOTION THAT LED THE FAMILY TO LEAVE THE WARM SANDY BEACHES OF MIAMI FOR THE OTHER SUNNY COAST, IN CALIFORNIA.

     STARTING AT A NEW SCHOOL WAS HARD, BUT IT WAS EVEN HARDER WHEN YOU WEREN'T INTERESTED IN THINGS THAT MADE YOU POPULAR. TATI WASN'T INTERESTED IN CHEER, OR PLAYING A SPORT. INSTEAD, SHE JOINED THE MARCHING BAND. HIGH SCHOOL WAS EVEN TOUGHER FOR A BAND GEEK, WHO WOULD FOREVER LOOK ABOUT FIVE YEARS YOUNGER THAN SHE ACTUALLY WAS. THE FIRST COUPLE OF YEARS IN HIGH SCHOOL WERE TOUGH. TATI GOT PICKED ON QUITE A BIT. BY THE TIME HER JUNIOR YEAR CAME AROUND, SHE HAD SETTLED INTO A SOLID GROUP OF FRIENDS AND THAT HELPED DETER THE BULLIES SUBSTANTIALLY.

      TATI'S FINISHING UP HER FIRST YEAR OF COLLEGE, AND DESPITE HER GOOD GRADES IN HIGH SCHOOL, SHE'S HAVING A HARD TIME BALANCING HER SCHOOL WORK WITH AN ACTUAL JOB, WHILE STILL LEAVING TIME FOR HER OPEN MIC NIGHTS. SHE'S CURRENTLY UNDECLARED AT UCI. DESPITE STRUGGLING TO FIND HER GRIP ON HER RESPONSIBILITIES, SHE'S REALLY ENJOYING HER TIME AT SCHOOL.

       SINCE HIGH SCHOOL TATI'S LEARNED TO STAND UP FOR HERSELF A LOT MORE. SHE MAY BE ONLY FIVE FOOT TWO, BUT SHE'S SCRAPPY AND HAS BEEN IN ENOUGH FIGHTS TO KNOW HOW TO DEFEND HERSELF. SHE DOESN'T TAKE SHIT FROM ANYONE ANYMORE, AND IF SHE DOESN'T LIKE SOMETHING SHE'LL NO LONGER SWALLOW HER FEELINGS ABOUT IT. SHE'S NICEST TO THOSE SHE HOLDS CLOSE, BUT ANYONE OUTSIDE OF HER CIRCLE OF FRIENDS SHE IS REALLY HESITANT ABOUT LETTING IN.

music tatiana loves music more than anything. she's always had a dream of becoming a singer/songwriter. the only thing standing in her way, is herself. she's scared to perform her own material in front of people. she sticks to covers of songs that she loves, and transforms them into something unique sounding and creative, or she completely breaks them down into something unexpected and beautiful.
high school was rough tatiana was bullied extensively from the time she was 12 until she turned 16. it only stopped then thanks in large part to tati learning how to defend herself, and a good friend standing up for her and teaching her how to do it for herself.
family history tati's family is split in half. her mother's part of the family is half cuban, half brazilian. her father's side is fully cuban. she has two siblings, both of them older.
instruments tati started learning to play guitar when she was nine years old and picked up her father's. she's since gotten her own guitar, and hasn't put that one down. she started playing the flute in junior high school with her band, then joined the band in high school.
struggles tatiana struggles with her self image thanks to years of torment. she tends to compare herself with what she considers beautiful, and decides she's not as good as them.
skillset she's always been good in the kitchen, but thanks to working at a bakery her skill set has only improved. if she wasn't so set on becoming a musical artist, she'll strongly consider becoming a chef of some sort.
liars she absolutely hates being lied to. it's one of her deal breakers. do not lie to her, or the trust is completely out the window.
sensitivity she's really sensitive, and tends to tear up whenever someone yells at her. but in the same vein, she's not afraid of confrontation and will not be talked to like she's an idiot.
